Better look of the basting. Where you see the white thread that is the water soluble thread and will dissolve once I submerge the quilt. The next step will be to remove the batting in areas where I do NOT want double thickness of batting.

In this phase I am quilting around the applique and the small borders with water soluble thread. This is a photo of the high loft batting that will make the applique pop. There is no backing used in this phase the quilt is layered just the batting
It is a slow process. Have to be careful not cut the quilt.

6/9/2012 the madness begins, I have to now remove all the high loft batting where I do not want TWO layers of batting. I am removing it from all of the large background areas and the large borders. All the applique, saw teeth, and the center moon
